Credit card payments can only be accepted if you are applying online.
Applicants applying via a paper application do not have the option to pay by credit
card. Please enclose a check, money order, or bank draft payable to the "UC Regents" along
with the application. If someone is paying the application fee on your behalf, they must
include the applicant's name, the graduate department, and date of birth.
You may apply to a non-degree option called "Course Work Only" (CWO). You will need to
meet all of the normal criteria for admission, and the department must be willing to
accept CWO students. There is a limit of two semesters of study and admission to this status
precludes future admission or change of major into a degree program at Berkeley
If all requirements are met, it can take up to two weeks for the department to forward
their recommendation and for the paperwork to be processed. If it has been more than
three weeks and you have not received notice of admission.
Students who were exposed to someone who has told them they have the flu or who
are experiencing flu-like symptoms should maintain their distance from other individuals and
call University Health Services at (609) 258-3141 for medical advice. It is especially
important that students with pre-existing medical conditions (i.e. pregnant women, adults with
chronic medical conditions such as asthma or diabetes, or individuals with immunosuppression)
immediately call UHS because they may be at serious risk for complications from flu.
Students with flu-like symptoms should immediately call 911 [or (609) 258-3333
if you are using a cell phone] if you also start to experience any of the following symptoms:
Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath; pain or pressure in the chest or abdomen; sudden
dizziness; confusion; or severe or persistent vomiting.
